Welcome to the newly refurbished Earls Barton Library and Community Centre!

The library is now run by a team of trustees and a brilliant band of volunteers, with support from Earls Barton Parish Council and the Friends of Earls Barton Library, and will continue to offer all the usual services, facilities and activities you are accustomed to find in your local library, plus we intend to develop a new range of activities and events.

Covid-19 RestrictionsIn view of the current government advice and requirements in relation to the corona virus crisis at this time, you may enter the library only to borrow books, or jigsaws, or otherwise to use the computers and photocopier.  Please read on to discover what services and facilities we might normally be pleased to offer.

Everyone can expect to receive a warm and friendly welcome, whether you have just popped in for a book, or to participate in an activity, or to do a jigsaw puzzle, or just want to have a quiet space for study, reading a magazine, etc.  We still have computers with internet access, and the photocopying and printing facilities, and have now added a cafe area where you can enjoy a cuppa whilst, say, you wait for the children, or to aid your contemplation of the book,  newspaper, magazine, or otherwise help your concentration on whatever other activity you have come to use the library for.

Also don’t forget that the bookcases are on wheels, which means space can be created giving us the facility to host your meeting or event.  Please ask for details.
